U.S. Return & Refund Policy

• After you order from us, we can accept order cancellations and exchanges until your order is processed, which typically takes about 48 hours. Once your order ships, we don't accept returns or exchanges for change-of-mind because the cost of return shipping is too high. If your puzzle arrives incomplete, damaged, or lost in transit, we'll work with you to make it right.
• We stand behind every puzzle we ship. If you receive an incomplete or damaged puzzle, please email us at Info@MagicPuzzleCompany.com and a real person will work with you to get a resolution.
• Series bundles are pre-packaged SKUs in our system, and we cannot "swap out" puzzles from a bundle or trade one puzzle for another. You can always order any combination of puzzles you want from the store, but only pre-packaged bundles receive special pricing.
  

U.S. Shipping Policies

• All delivery times are estimates from the carrier, not guarantees. At checkout, Shopify is able to provide estimated shipping times from mail carriers like USPS and FedEx. These shipping times represent an average or best guess from the mail carrier. These are not a guaranteed delivery date. Once packages are sent out into the real world they can be delayed for many reasons including traffic, bad weather, holidays, and human error. Try as we might, Magic Puzzle Company does not control the mail. Once a package is sent out, we have no influence on how or when the mail carrier delivers it to you. For that reason we do not guarantee any estimated delivery date or issue refunds for packages that arrive after the estimated delivery date.
• Tracking information will be sent to you automatically as soon as your package ships. If your tracking hasn't updated in a while or your package seems lost in transit, email us at Info@MagicPuzzleCompany.com and we'll look into it with you. We handle these situations case-by-case, and in most cases we're able to get a replacement on its way.
• If a package goes missing after the carrier marks it as "delivered," we are generally not able to replace it, but we're happy to help you think through next steps with the carrier. Please make sure you are home to receive your delivery, or if you can't be there to receive your package, make alternate arrangements such as asking your local USPS office to hold for pickup.
  

Non-U.S. Return Policy

• All shipping costs, VAT, tariffs, duties, and customs procedures are the customer's responsibility to navigate and pay for; we don't have the resources to individually manage customs clearance for international packages. If a package gets stuck in customs there is nothing we can do on our end to help; you must work with your local customs office to pay any necessary duties and resolve any issues.

European Union 14 day cooling off period

• Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

We are a very small company, and right now our only warehouse is in the U.S. While we hope to be able to ship everywhere in the world in the future, we don't have the infrastructure to make that possible right now.

Magic Puzzle Company is based in the U.S., and right now that’s the only country where we have a warehouse.

Although international shipping costs are very high, some customers still want to order puzzles from us, and so we have decided to allow international purchasing with postage provided "at cost." That means when you go to check out, we use Shopify’s tools to look up the shipping rate with the carrier (e.g. DHL, FedEx), and we pass that exact cost along to you. We don’t make one dollar on shipping.

Even though international shipping is very expensive, we do not offer any discounts on shipping - the most we can do without losing money is provide this service for free without making any profit.

International shipping is calculated dynamically based on your shipping address and the size and weight of the items in your shopping cart, so we aren't able to "provide a quote" for international shipping. If you want to know how much it costs, you have to add the items you want into your cart and put your address in - then we can calculate the shipping cost for you.

International shipping gets very expensive because puzzles are often moving on multiple airplanes, boats, and trucks across long distances and go through complex customs and handling steps that add cost.

In the future, we would like to have warehouses all around the world so that we could provide cheaper shipping rates outside of the U.S. But right now our company is too small to have that amount of infrastructure.

If our shipping rates are too high, you can also try ordering on Amazon, which sometimes has a cheaper rate.

Each Magic Puzzle is a complete, standalone experience. You don't need to buy more than one unless you want to! Pick an artist or a world that you love, and dive in.

Yes! Magic Puzzles have been designed from the beginning to be repacked and shared. Every puzzle can be easily reset and gifted to someone else: everything comes packaged in reusable velcro envelopes.

Every Magic Puzzle is inspected before it leaves our factory, and we do everything we can to make sure every piece and component is in the box. Damaged or incomplete puzzles are rare but if something isn't right with your puzzle, we'll work with you to find a resolution.

It doesn't matter where you bought it. Whether it came from us, a Kickstarter campaign, a retailer, or as a gift, we're happy to help!

Email us at Info@MagicPuzzleCompany.com and we'll send you a short form to tell us what happened. This form might require a photo, or the "Inspection" number on the Quality Guarantee slip in the box. (If you don't have that, just explain what happened in the form).

There's a few other terms and conditions:

• If we need to replace your puzzle, we will cover the cost of the puzzle; but you cover the postage, which is provided at cost from the carrier (meaning we don't make any money from shipping). In the US shipping is usually about $5. Outside of the US shipping can be extremely expensive, and returning the puzzle to the store where you originally purchased it may be the better option.
• We can only guarantee puzzles purchased new - we're not able to help with puzzles that were bought used or swapped.
• Because genuine defects are extremely rare, we limit replacements to two per customer over the lifetime of your puzzling with us. (99% of our customers never need even one!)
• We do our best to take every claim at face value, but we reserve the right to verify claims and to limit or decline replacements where needed.

We’ve designed Magic Puzzles to be repacked and passed along to a friend, and we don’t have any official testing or recommendations for frames, puzzle glue, or anything like that. The final dimensions of the puzzles are 28" by 21"; we've heard that some customers have used puzzle glue to secure the puzzle and then taken it to a local framing store.

The final dimensions of each puzzle is 28" by 21". We strongly recommend working on a table at least a few feet larger than that to facilitate the magic trick at the end.

We recommend solving our puzzles on a large, flat, smooth surface. At the end, you'll want to be able to slide the puzzle around on the surface. Felt or rubber puzzle mats aren't great for this.

When we started developing Magic Puzzles, we were surprised to hear many jigsaw puzzle fans complain about "puzzle dust," the little particles of cardboard that come loose when a puzzle is die cut. This turned out to be a serious nuisance!

So we worked with our factory to come up with a plan: each Magic Puzzle is actually sifted by hand to remove the dust. We think we're the only company that spends the time and money to do that.

Most of the time, sifting the puzzles is able to remove enough puzzle dust from the box so that whatever remains is imperceptible, but occasionally we see cases of human error where a small amount of dust is left in with the pieces. So far the maximum amount of puzzle dust we have measured in a Magic Puzzle is 0.25g (about 1/3 the weight of one average 0.8g puzzle piece), although we are always working with our factory to do better.

We periodically give away free puzzles when we post new videos on our Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube accounts. These codes only work once, and they are available "first come first serve," meaning whoever finds it first gets to use it.

It's not possible for us to give a free puzzle to everyone on Instagram - unfortunately we have to sell puzzles for money so that we don't go out of business. We do these giveaways in the spirit of a fun game, like the "treasure hunt" in our puzzles. Although we understand that it's disappointing to miss a free puzzle giveaway, we think it's a fun surprise for the people find and use the codes and we'll probably continue doing them for the foreseeable future!

We generally share codes with people who leave positive, funny, or original comments and are there to have fun. We generally do not share codes with people who post negativity or ask for free puzzles.

Magic Puzzles are tested by an independent third-part laboratory that uses gas chromatography and plasma spectroscopy to certify that they are free of lead and phthalates.

Our puzzles are printed with a soy-based ink.
